See and control your Mac or PC screen from your iPhone
Live Display streams your Mac or Windows PC to your iPhone or iPad and lets you work on it with touch: click, scroll, type and zoom, at home or from anywhere. It’s part of PalmDesk Pro.

Quick answer
With PalmDesk on your iPhone or iPad and the free PalmDesk app on your computer, open Live Display to see the screen in real time. Tap to click, drag two fingers to scroll and pinch to zoom. The picture arrives at your display’s own resolution, up to 4K, at up to 30 frames per second, end-to-end encrypted. Live Display is part of PalmDesk Pro and starts with a 7-day free trial.
Up to 4KShow exactly what you need
- Any display. Each connected monitor is listed on its own, so a multi-monitor setup works too.
- The active window, following whatever is in front.
- One specific window, picked from a list of what’s open.
Change the target from your phone during the session; the connection stays up.
Built for a touch screen
Touch control
Tap to click, two fingers to scroll, pinch to zoom and Reset Zoom to go back. The keyboard and Quick Commands sit in the toolbar.
Full screen in landscape
Turn the phone sideways and the computer fills the display; hide the controls entirely when you want every pixel.
Sharp text
When the network weakens, PalmDesk lowers the frame rate and bitrate before resolution, so small text stays readable when you zoom.
Up to 4K, pixel for pixel.
Live Display sends your screen at its own resolution, up to 4K, and never scales it up. A 4K or larger monitor arrives in 4K; a laptop’s built-in display arrives at its own resolution. Pinch to zoom and small text stays sharp.
Smooth on fast Wi‑Fi. Steady on slow.
Live Display runs at up to 30 frames per second and adjusts on its own when the network gets busy. It lowers smoothness before sharpness, so text stays readable, and climbs back as soon as the connection recovers. Tech specs
Hear it, and talk back
Everything your computer plays comes through your iPhone or iPad while Live Display is open. Turn on your phone’s microphone and your voice plays on the computer; the person sitting there can open their own microphone to answer.
How to see your computer’s screen on your iPhone
Install PalmDesk on both devices
Put the free PalmDesk app on your Mac or Windows PC and allow what it asks for; on a Mac that means Screen Recording and Accessibility.
Pair with the QR code
Add your computer in PalmDesk on your iPhone or iPad, scan the one-time code and confirm the fingerprint.
Open Live Display
Tap your computer with Live Display selected. Pick a display or window from the toolbar whenever you like.
Good to know
- The computer’s microphone never opens on its own: someone has to press Open on the computer’s screen, at the computer or from Live Display, and it stays open for that session only.
- Apps you add to Privacy Zones on the computer never appear in the stream.
- Live Display is part of PalmDesk Pro, on the same Wi‑Fi and from another network. Trackpad, Media Remote and Presentation Remote stay free on the same Wi‑Fi.
Questions
Can I mirror my PC or Mac screen to my iPhone?
Yes. Live Display shows your Mac or PC screen on the phone in real time and lets you control it with touch, not only watch it.
Is Live Display free?
No. Live Display is part of PalmDesk Pro, $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year, and both plans start with a 7-day free trial. The trackpad, media remote and presentation remote are free on the same Wi‑Fi.
Does it work with more than one monitor?
Yes. Each connected display appears as its own capture target, and you can switch between them during the session.
Can I reach my computer’s screen when I’m away from home?
Yes, with PalmDesk Pro and Internet Connections turned on in the computer app. PalmDesk connects directly when it can and through an encrypted relay when it can’t.
Is it the same as Remote Desktop or VNC?
No. PalmDesk doesn’t use RDP, VNC or the screen sharing built into your computer; it has its own app and an end-to-end encrypted WebRTC session. See the comparison.
