How do I control my Mac or PC from my iPhone?
Install the free PalmDesk app on your Mac or Windows PC and PalmDesk on your phone, pair them once with the code, then tap your computer. You get a trackpad and keyboard, a media remote and a presentation remote, plus the live screen in up to 4K with PalmDesk Pro.
Does it work with Windows?
Yes. PalmDesk works with PCs running Windows 10 or 11 as well as with Macs. The computer app is free on both, and one phone can pair with Macs and PCs side by side.
Which phones and tablets can I use?
PalmDesk is on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. On a tablet it uses the larger screen for a wider trackpad and a bigger view of your computer.
Is PalmDesk free?
The trackpad, media remote and presentation remote are free whenever your phone and your computer are on the same Wi‑Fi, with no time limit and one computer. PalmDesk Pro adds Live Display, access from any network and more computers for $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial. The computer app is always free.
Is it secure?
Every session is end-to-end encrypted between your devices, and only devices you paired on your computer can connect. Our servers only pass along sealed connection details they can’t read.
Can I hear my computer’s audio on my phone?
Yes, in Live Display. Everything the computer plays comes through your iPhone or iPad. You can also talk: your voice plays on the computer, and the person at the computer can open their own microphone to answer. Live Display is part of PalmDesk Pro.
Can PalmDesk wake my computer or use the login screen?
No. The computer needs to be on and awake, signed in, with PalmDesk running.
